Course Description
This is a one-semester course in anatomy designed to strengthen your ability to represent the human figure in art. It begins with a close examination of the skeleton, followed by an introduction to the mechanics of movement and musculature, plus a survey of the main muscle groups. Each week includes a lecture-demonstration using skeletons, charts, live models and our own bodies, followed by drawing from the live model, and three outside hours of drawing using notes, memory and your imagination. Very hard; lots of fun.
