Course Description
This course studies the financial theory and empirical evidence that are useful for investment decisions. It focuses on building a quantitative foundation for portfolio analysis and asset pricing. Topics include risk and return concept, fixed income assets, asset allocation, capital asset pricing model, arbitrage pricing theory, market efficiency, and portfolio evaluation. This course also serves as a foundation course for GSM-6292A/B. Students interested in taking GSM-6292A must also take GSM-6291.
