The History Senior Tutorial consists of a program of directed reading, research and writing in an area or topic of the students own choice, in consultation with members of the department. As the tutorial is the culmination of the students History major, it is expected that the tutorial topic will be from the students area of concentration within the major and will build on course work completed by the student in that area. The tutorial project may be a research project involving the use of primary and secondary source materials, or a project that is a historiographical in nature.
