Course Description
Foundation Seminar 2 builds on the critical thinking and creative inquiry introduced in Foundation Seminar 1, focusing on deepening students' engagement with complex visual, social, and cultural issues. This course will further examine the role of the artist and designer as a global citizen, emphasizing ethical considerations, community practice, and the power of visual storytelling. Students will develop a greater understanding of information and media literacy as they relate to creative practice in the arts. By the end of the seminar, students will be prepared to tackle larger creative challenges, integrating theory, research, and practice into cohesive projects that reflect their evolving creative identity and critical thinking skills.
