Program Description

If they choose to do so, MLS students are eligible to complete certain certificates that align with existing JD and LLM certificate options. The application and advising process and the uniform completion requirements may differ for MLS students pursuing a certificate, as determined by the certificate director. Any student completing an MLS certificate will need to complete 14 credits in the certificate area (out of their 26 total) and meet any other requirements set forth in the certificate program.

The Master of Legal Studies is a one-year master's program designed for non-lawyers whose job involves working within a legal or regulatory framework. A bachelor's degree is required.
