Course Description

This credit bearing studio assignment allows graduate students to explore, experiment and apply their creative practice in either an independent or collaborative process. This assignment will continue through all four semesters of the program. Every semester, students will be assessed by their chair, program faculty, invited guests and peers as they develop a body of work.In the final semester, students will be linked with a mentor to focus on a capstone project. The capstone project will also be evaluated by the chair, program faculty and invited guests. Students will be required to give an oral presentation and defend their outcomes. This capstone process is linked to a thesis paper, which is developed in the Capstone Research + Writing Course.
