One Year STEM Master of Business Administration

Curricular requirements, with credit counts

For the STEM-designated One-Year MBA, students must successfully complete 45 credits that

include 4 required and 8 elective courses (details vary by track), of which 27 or more credits must be

STEM-designated. The STEM-designated required courses are indicated in bold. The remainder of

STEM-designated credits will be taken from the list of STEM-Designated MBA electives provided below

at the end of this proposal.

In addition to these requirements specific to the STEM MBA, all other graduation requirements currently

in place for the One-Year program will also apply, including the completion of at least one experiential

elective course, competition of IKEWs, and so forth.

Summer Start:

Summer: Introductory course, Politics and Public Policy for Managers, two elective courses

Fall: PACE I (Practical Application for Careers and Enterprises), three elective courses

Spring: PACE II (Practical Application for Careers and Enterprises), three elective courses

Fall Start:

Fall: Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD), Politics and Public Policy for

Managers, two elective courses

Spring: Four elective courses

Summer: Strategic Management, the IMAP (Integrated Management Project) Capstone Course,

two elective courses

The electives in both tracks must be from the list of STEM-designated courses presented below.

We propose the following courses that already exist in our EC/CC MBA curriculum be

categorized as STEM-designated electives (ordered by course number). As new elective courses

are developed and added to the curriculum, this list will be updated accordingly.
