Program Description
The Minor in Chemistry is designed such that students gain fundamental skills in chemistry as well as some experience in more sophisticated topics. Specifically:
1. Chemistry minors become knowledgeable about the important theories, experimental evidence, and applications of General Chemistry plus 1-2 subfields of chemistry, such as organic, environmental, biochemical, inorganic, physical, and/or analytical.
2. Minors are able to apply chemical knowledge to solve problems in other scientific fields.
3. Chemistry minors are able to draw appropriate and reasonable conclusions from the data they collect in the laboratory.
4. Chemistry minors are able to communicate in a variety of formats commonly used by scientists.
